Content always includes relatively useful information and reviews intertwined with enjoyable content. PC Magazine is great for both novices and experienced users.Reviews consist of computers, hardware, peripherals, and software. I am frequently pleasantly surprised how business software and corporate IT are also covered. PC Magazine tests are objective, thorough, and trustworthy. Usual reading time is approximately fourty-five minutes. Your time may vary according to interest in topics covered.
Rating: - Good industry coverage, not too in depth
PC Magazine makes a good easy read. I really enjoy the John C. Dvorak column and industry gossip piece. In fact, all the columnists have interesting things to say, and they are not foolish like Jerry Pournelle (check out Byte for his computer enthusiast column). The feature articles tend to be pretty good. They had one on security that had a picture of an "evil" web server (complete with horns). It had good information for business people, but the tech content was a bit weak. Anyway, they have pretty good buzzword coverage and do a good job explaining things for people who would just call themselves computer literate, but that is about as deep as it goes. The issues tend to run about 190 pages and are printed on glossy but thin paper. There are a few of those annoying insert cards, but not too bad. Plenty of ads! If you want to be up on the latest in the computer industry check this out. If you are a programmer or want deep technical info, look elsewhere.

Are you interested in computers? Well then, PC Magazine is the magazine for you! PC Magazine delivers first looks at new computer products- before anyone else! Also, you don't get strange ads like in some other magazines that have nothing to do with the topic, you get ads only about computers. Also, PC Magazine contains easy-to-understand charts that help you understant everything. I highly recomend it.
